Team Identity

Dear team members,

It is time for us all to have a good think about what direction the team takes for 2008. Subscriptions are due for renewal and due to our size we need to implement some more structure and have 'a board'.

I propose we have a team meeting at EMC on Sunday the 18th November at 5pm. All team members serious about being a part of SVTT should attend. In the interim give some thought to how you would like to see the team structured next year.

Items to be discussed will include but not be limited to:

The Website and Forum
The name
Establishing a board of people with clearly defined and deliverable roles
Team training
Sponsors
SVTT Annual Warm Weather Training Camp
Race Schedules
Membership subscriptions

Please show up having at least given some consideration to these topics.

Here are some ideas I have been thinking about:

1) Doing a bike race series at EMC on the weekends. It would be nice to get together and race (when the weather is crummy outside). We could do a points type of thing. Maybe every one that races put something into a pot for the winners. We could do something like 8 races and your top 5 races contribute to your overall standings.

2) Start some friendly competition with other tri teams next year. See if ofther teams would want to participate; determine scoring (maybe usat scoring?); pick 2 or three races for the season.

3) Something that includes bears...

We would have to work out the details but those are some things that come to mind.
