Hello all,
To try and keep everyone up to date here are some of the outcomes from the meeting last night. This post will be a work in progress and be updated by me over the next week or so to include everything we went over.
Thanks for attending and I believe we have made some positive steps to seeing our club move forward to becoming the most well rounded club on the Eastside.
Apologies were received from Nancy who could not make the scheduled time and date.
Team Name It was decided that due to links with EMC (Eastside Multisport Center) that the team name would become Eastside Multisport. We will maintain a relationship with Sammamish Valley Cycles in Redmond and still be eligible for a QBP order and discounted service etc. The benefits to the team are we get to use the facility free of charge, will run an Eastside Multisport Team ride twice weekly at a discounted rate (TBC), and be able to take advantage of certain other benefits having an industry related partner provides (reduced computrainers being one of them).
Team Membership Membership will continue to be by invitation only. All current members are tasked with inviting people they feel will be a good fit to the team. This means people who are multisport athletes (adventure racers welcome), know how to have fun, could relate to the rest of the team, can offer something to the team in the way of skills, humor, money (joke!) and are easy on the eye! Our target is to increase the membership to 50 members by April 1st 2008. This really means each of us only has to refer one person to the team.
Membership Fee The fee will go up to $100. This will allow the team options to help support team events, supplement the cost of team kit (TBC), pay for end of year awards, and if any money is left a rebate of entry fees (determined as a % based on the number of targeted races completed).
Team Clothing Heidi to order samples for a team fit evening. Date to be confirmed by Heidi as soon as possible. Design and colors to be determined.
Team Website Andrew to have this up and running by??? Andrew please do set a deadline for this. We need it worse case by January 31st for sponsors etc. So if you need content please either ask people for help with it or do a rough draft yourself and then we can discuss it at the next board meeting. You might want to work on getting everyones profiles, I know this pained Cindy last year, so good luck with this!
More to come.....
