Dear team members,
After the poll on the name change it seems the majority approve of the transition to Team Vo2Multisport (92% in favor).
I have already taken some steps to moving this forward and currently have a fit kit from Sugoi of their RS Tri apparel. Please find below some sample logos that will be used on the race clothing, casual apparel and visors etc.
A meeting is now necessary to discuss how this new model will work and at a minimum I would like board members to attend. In an ideal world all of the membership interested in going forward with the new name will attend.
I suggest we meet as soon as possible on Sunday November 16th, 7pm at EMC. Please make an effort to attend.

I assume from the lack of responses that you are all going to be at the meeting on Sunday! It will start promptly at 7pm and will give everyone the opportunity to try on the new team clothing and voice any opinions, concerns, etc that you might have about the new team name and direction.
I look forward to seeing you all on Sunday.

Ben-
I will attend if I can get away. Since I am already getting a yard pass to do the Pineapple classic earlier that day, I don't know how it will go over if I attend the meeting later. I will be there if I can!

I'll be there. A bit sweaty and all from the immediately preceding workout, but that can't be helped :-)
I will not be there. Too late on a Sunday evening for me.
Mary
I should be there unless I get injured at the charity obstacle course by falling palm trees

A little more food for thought (if it was needed). Here is a link to Pauole Sports team page - http://www.pauolesport.com/Team.htm
As you probably know most of the significant coaching groups in the area (Pauole Sport, Jill Fry, Team Fastt, Pro Club) have both a 'Team' and a 'Coaching' element to them. Unlike Pauole Sport I will still require my coached athletes to pay the team membership fee (due January 1st) of $100.
Areas of contention that I currently see are:
1. The Website - I have contacted a website developer who will be redesigning all the websites. It will seamlessly integrate the forum, the content from the Synergy site and any new material relevant to the team. It will also host an online store where team members can purchase team clothing and access affinity partners such as Infinit, TriSports.com, GU, nuun, b70, FuelBelt, TYR and Sylvia's Swimwear. There is obviously a cost to this and I am unsure of what % the team should pick up (it will save us some money in the long term as their will just be one hosting fee etc). It will also mean we are not using obsolete domain names such as svtt.net (confusing to say the least).
2. The status of the Team Bank Account - Are we still a non for profit organization? I am unsure of how to tackle this. I would think the team can continue to run as a not for profit. Mary is going to look into this in a bit more detail and I will keep you all informed.
3. Money I have raised from sponsors for a presence on the team kit. So far TYR (as part of deal with Sylvias Swimwear) and Advance Therapeutics have agreed to provide cash. I am still waiting to hear from Fuelbelt as there is a chance they may also provide some money. My intention is for any money raised to offset the purchase of the team clothing. The gross cost of all the kit ordered will be reduced by the amount raised and then garment prices reduced accordingly. This way only those choosing to buy the kit benefit which is how it should be as the sponsors are specifically paying for representation on the kit. Hope that makes sense.
Anyhow I am sure you will all have lots more questions for tomorrow. We will still need an active board. Positions will include President, Treasurer, Sponsorship coordinator, Website Manager (for the team content), Race coordinator, Social Planner and Group Workout coordinator. A clearer set of responsibilities and tasks will be generated for each board member and everyone will held accountable to the membership for fulfilling these.
I am also toying with the idea of starting a VO2Multisport Cycling Team although would need someone to pick this up and run with it. Hopefully someone with a passion for this and an understanding of cycle racing from the team side. If this interests anyone let me know.

Thanks for a good meeting tonight. I think we all need to recognize the work Ben and Cindy puts into the team.
Lets make 2009 a successfull year for VO2 ;)
