Re: Boston?

Sorry for the delay! 2010 was a repeat for me of my Boston race 5-6 years ago. Felt great at the start, went out too fast, too hard, at too high a heart rate and cramped up around mile 11. Did the Ironman cramp/shuffle/jog for the next 15 miles and was passed by about 12,000 people (very fun . . .)

On a brighter note, I saw the Redsox play and I'm pretty sure I can beat my Boston time during the run portion of CDA -- so I have that going for me.

Better luck next year -- and a lesson now learned x2 about hitting race pace too fast and not backing off when my heart rate was jacked.

Re: Boston?

Joe, way to battle. hope recovery is going well.

All the TV hype leading up to Monday sure got to me. I'll be trying my best to qualify for next year's, 115th running. Would also like to take in a Redsox game. I hear those are an amazing experience too.

Re: Boston?

Great work pushing through and finishing with cramps, that had to hurt! Your lined up for an amazing race in Cda and I can't wait to watch and cheer for you!!

I would love to run 2011 Boston too! Lets work on getting lots of Vo2 blue out there next year! Redsox not so much

Re: Boston?

I've never been to Boston so what the heck maybe I will try and qualify, what have I got to run?? Oh apparently under 3:15 (7:26/mile) will do, does not seem so bad!

3:45 for you Cindy (have you not done that off the bike in an IM....3:50:39 to be precise) 8:34/mile!!!!

Oh and you get a grace period of 59 seconds so add another 2s to those paces.

Joe - You will go back next year and make that course yours, you will OWN IT.

Re: Boston?

Ben- what would it take for me to qualify for Boston? Is there even a remote chance?

Joe- your body was just saving the good stuff for CDA. I'm sure it did you a favor.
